Wild Horse Campground has been in existence for 3 years and was an inspiration brought on by many of our family members needing a place to stay while attending concerts at The Gorge.
In the beginning, there was no water. We wondered, "how in the world are we going to make it green??" Since all Columbia Basin water is designated for farming, this was a dilemma. We soon figured out how to farm tents and we were able to finally obtain the water to make our grass a lush green oasis.
On the second day, we had no transportation for our campers to get to The Gorge Amphitheatre. We looked to our biggest city in the West, Seattle, for help. We were rewarded for our efforts in obtaining a Seattle Metro bus for our patrons' ease and comfort for getting to and from the concerts without the hassle of traffic.
On the third day, there was morning thirst. We simply offered free coffee and our customers remained happy and content.
On the fourth day, we discovered coffee just wasn't going to replace food. Thus, the creation of the famous "Corral Cafe". This food haven will be open before and after the concerts and for breakfast the morning after.
On the fifth day, we discovered there was a mass population we could cater to other than just our large numbers of friends and family. We began our campground with 100 sites and will soon be growing to our maximum of over 200 sites. By comparison, this still makes Wild Horse Campground the "secluded" campground near The Gorge Amphitheatre.
On the sixth day, we came to the conclusion it was a weekend, time to relax!

Directions To Wild Horse Campground
From Seattle: Take I-90 East, Take exit 143, Gorge Amphitheatre. Follow amphitheatre signs approximately 6 miles, then turn right on Baseline road. We are up the road approximately 1/2 mile on your left.
From Spokane: Take I-90 West, take exit 149. Follow signs to the Gorge Amphitheatre, approximately 6 miles, Wild Horse Campground is on your right.
From Quincy: Take highway 281 South, Beverly-Burke road to Baseline, turn right and go approximately 6 miles, Wild Horse Campground will be on your right.
From Portland: Take I-84 East, Highway 97 North, I-90 East, then to exit 143 the Gorge Amphitheatre. Follow amphitheatre signs approximately 4 miles, then turn right on Baseline Road. We are up the road approximately 1/2 mile on your left.
From Vancouver, BC: Take I-5 South to I-90 Eastbound. Follow I-90 to exit 143, Gorge Amphitheatre. Follow amphitheatre signs approximately 6 miles.
